X-mas prezzy from DBD

Its been some time since we have posted an update. I would like to blame the delay entirely on the wait for the editor, however that is not the entire truth. We are in desperate need of character artists to join our team, this is the only thing that is slowing our progress at Death by Design. So please if you know anyone who has some talent in this area please get them in touch with me or another lead at DbD.

This update I really want to show you some of the work of our Art team. They have been working really hard along with the level designers to make this game unique. Enjoy.

Ramza has been working on buildings for McGinges level. I'm sure you will agree with me that he's done an excellent job on both the models and the textures[/center]


McGreed:

Mcgreed has been working hard on bringing us lots of new assets. One we are most excited about it the super soaker flame thrower. Really glad to have you on the team McGreed, you are very talented


St.Sabath:

St.Sabath has also been working extremely hard on making buildings for Ocon.Thanks for all you hard work mate, its looking great..

Hey guys .. sounds like a really decent project that you have going here .. my name Craig im from Manchester UK and I enjoy making graphical content on Adobe Photoshop .. I saw that you were looking for a hand with Character artist aswell i am practicing drawing at the moment and trying to improve on my skills but if needed i would prefer to do graphics content for your game, I can also recommend a briliant artist named John. i'll let him now about you and reply back with what he says.

Well i usually make signatures for clan members on websites and banners, i dont usually do this type of stuff, but i have a good knowledge of Photoshop and could maybe do a trial task for you to see if you like it or not? Thats if you understand what I mean? Basically ask me to carry out a task given by yourself and grade me on my performance on whether or not its upto your standards?

erm yeah .. well were doing 3D modelling at the minute, by making a character on 3D Studio Max, we know a lad who loves creating like zombie style mutant creatures that can mindlessly kill things lol but to be honest im more of a 2D Designer and would love to learn more about that

Cool. So the main thing we are looking for atm is charcter artists, however if you can produce good enough concept art for modelling refernce that would help too. As per usal everyone joining the team needs to proove themselves to us, by means of work. So if you and your friends are interested please can you each work on an infected character. Base it on someone you know, however i want you to make them look badly injured. if you frinds wanting to be a modeller here then same goes to him, howeever he just has to model not draw.

i look forward to seeing what you all come up with. Please dont rush this, i am all for quality over quantity, so if it takes 2 - 3 weeks fora model im fine with that..
